Step 1
One of our expert surgeons will ask you detailed questions about your medical history to assess your medical and physical health.
Step 2
You will be put under general anaesthetic or be sedated through an intravenous method.
Step 3
The incision is made, with the approach being discussed with your surgeon ahead of time. This is most commonly placed in the crease of the breast.
Step 4
The implant is then inserted into the body. It will either be positioned in between the breast tissue and the chest muscles, or partially behind the pectoral muscle.
Step 5
Once the surgeon is satisfied with the positioning of the implant, the incision will be stitched closed.
Step 6
The surgical area is then cleaned and dressed. Patients are given a surgical bra for when they return home. This aids with recovery and helps prevent injury.

Breast Augmentation Before and After

Why choose to have a breast augmentation?

There can be many reasons why women choose to have a boob job. Often, those whose breasts are sagging, small, or asymmetrical are good candidates for breast augmentation surgery. Having bigger and fuller breasts can also be a way to gain greater body confidence. Whatever the reason for breast enlargement, our friendly staff will take the time to discuss your goals before undergoing surgery of any kind.

At Adnova, we don’t just offer procedures to increase the size of the breasts. Our breast reduction and uplift services give patients the option to reduce the size of the breasts and later alter the  position on the chest. This is to provide a comprehensive range of surgical offerings that allow our patients to achieve the outcomes they desire. The Adnova surgical team is also skilled in Gynaecomastia correction surgery should you have the condition.

Aftercare advice for breast augmentation surgery

Following the recommended advice for recovery after breast augmentation surgery is crucial to ensure the implants heal in the correct position. This will also help to speed up the healing process, preventing patient discomfort. Typically, it takes 2-3 months for the body to heal fully following breast augmentation surgery. During this time, taking these steps will help to aid the recovery:

  • Avoid bending over and raising your arms above your head.
  • Avoid physical exercise and other activities that raise the heartrate.
  • Avoid driving for at least the first week after surgery.
  • Wear a surgical support bra for the first 3-4-6 weeks.
  • Sleep in the recommended position.

I can't recommend Doctor Durrant enough. After spending a decade with servere Diastasis Recti I needed to do something about it. Doctor Durrant was highly professional and honest. His sergical skills has brought me comfort and confidence in my body shape once again. The clinic team have been very professional and understanding. The procedure was all within one day and home in the afternoon. Care instructions and medication were given so that I could manage at home. Thank you

I had wanted to have a tummy tuck for the last 8 years as three 9lb+ babies had left me with severe muscle separation and no matter how hard I worked in the gym nothing changed and it just left me disheartened and not really bothering. I was terrified of having a general anaesthetic so didn’t think I would ever be brave enough to go through with it but after seeing Charles page on Instagram and how amazing his results were I just thought I would go for a consultation and see. From the initial consultation with Charles I knew I was in safe hands and really liked how down to earth he was for such a top surgeon. The care I received from everyone at Adnova was exceptional. The anaesthetist was calm and supportive when I explained how nervous I was, but everyone created such a calm environment (especially nurse Kerry telling me she would hold my hand whilst I went to sleep) that I honestly woke up feeling like the whole thing was a positive experience. The care afterwards was exceptional and all the follow ups with the dressings and scar management. Charles, this is honestly the best decision I have ever made, I just wish I had done it years ago. The results are better than I ever imagined you have changed my life (and my back as I no longer suffer with lower back pain) and I have found my love for exercise again and feeling stronger than ever.
